Kelly Madsen and Jeff Shaw met at church. She was in charge of welcoming new members to their LDS ward — and theirs was the warmest of welcomes. The couple had an endless number of things in common, including a love of travel, adventure, biology, Russian literature, post-modern art, Krispy Kreme donuts and Diet Coke. Can you say match made in heaven? And the proposal couldn’t have been more picture perfect: during a divine meal in a beautiful restaurant in Paris. They continued the relationship’s European theme in their wedding as Kelly drew inspiration from her days as an art history major at BYU. Instead of a traditional fall palette, she opted for an elegant combo of navy, gold coral and fig. “The day was beautiful,” Kelly says. “Jeff and I were beaming from ear to ear.”
