JUNE 21, 2014 // Alicia + Jordan

Setups can be a gamble. But Alicia Lauria and Jordan Parker hit the blind date jackpot. “When we first met, we were both attracted to each other and knew we wanted to get to know each other,” Alicia says. And the rest is smooth-sailing history. For the proposal, Jordan planned a surprise trip to Catalina Island and popped the question when they were parasailing. (It went swimmingly.) And selecting a wedding venue was a piece of cake. The Oakley property belongs to Alicia’s aunt, and the bride wanted a venue with a personal connection — somewhere they knew they could visit for years to come. “My favorite moment of the day,” Alicia says, “was having everyone we love together.” What a sight.
