Marissa Powell and Kyle Van Noy are no stranger to big days. She’s a former Miss Utah USA. He’s a former BYU football star — and current NFL linebacker. They know fame. They know pressure. They know spotlights. But this big day? All their own. Kyle proposed to Marissa after a victorious BYU game in his hometown of Reno. The couple went back to his parents’ house for what Marissa thought was a dinner celebration of the winning game. Instead, she was led to rose petals, candles, and close friends and family looking on as Kyle popped the question. “It was a magical night,” Marissa says. “We got the win and the ring!” Marissa’s mom is a wedding planner and took charge to help her create the perfect big day. With an elegant palette of duck-egg blue, antique gold, ivory and blush — along with a swoon-worthy custom designed gown from Alta Moda Bridal — Marissa and Kyle married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. “The whole day played out perfectly,” Marissa says.
