Amanda + Stetson

Date
Jul, 29, 2019

It’s Magazine Monday! And we’re thrilled to share a closer look at the wedding of Amanda and Stetson. These two won a wedding giveaway from these incredible local vendors, and we were honored to share their story on our glossy pages.

When Stetson and I first met, our interaction was brief, but we started following each other on social media. Years later, Stetson asked me out. He was goofy and fun, and we both felt comfortable right away.

Stetson knew I loved donuts, so for our first date he took me to try cronuts for the first time — couldn’t have gone better! We dated for over a year and then he proposed to me on vacation in San Diego. He took me to the edge of the cliffs to look out over the water. I worried about slipping on the rocks, but then he got down on one knee to propose — the danger was worth the risk after all.

After we got engaged, we heard about a wedding giveaway from Pritchétt Bridal on Instagram and we entered thinking it was a shot in the dark. When we found out we won, we were in shock. We couldn’t believe something so lucky would happen to us!

Because I am a donut connoisseur, I knew I had to have them at my wedding. I had a vision of exactly how I wanted them to be displayed and my cousin custom-built it for our special day. We served maple bars and square glazed donuts from Lehi Bakery. They are the best around.

I was obsessed with my wedding dress! I found it at Pritchétt Bridal (they are miracle workers) and my favorite part is the train.

It was fun to include all of our family in the wedding. The speeches our dads gave were unforgettable! My dad made it funny and had props, and I loved seeing Stetson and his dad hug after his speech. Because Stetson’s mom passed away a few years ago, he danced with his sisters and it was so special. I will never forget coming out of the temple and seeing everyone we love cheering.

PICTURE PERFECT The best weddings are those with perfectly personal details. Stetson’s custom-made suit had a wild print — and he had the wedding date stitched inside. #welldonestetson The couple’s cake was tailor-made, too. While it served up classic style on the outside, inside were three different flavors: white chocolate raspberry, confetti and peanut butter chocolate. “They were all so good, it was hard to decide,” Amanda says. Another highlight was The Vista at Cedar Hills’ to-die-for view. And just look at that elegant and wistful drapery from 360 Canopy! Magic.
