ELISABETH PACKHAM + JETSEN LOWELL
Something about Elisabeth’s face just says “Bridal: It might have something to do with her 10+ year long modeling career where she has said yes to thousands of dresses in the wedding industry. “There was a game at my bridal shower where guests could vote on their favorite bridal shoot we had modeled for. In our four years together, Jet and I had modeled for nine bridal shoots,” Elisabeth says. “When I was planning my wedding, I wanted to make sure that when people saw these photos, they could tell that they were our real wedding photos.”
Classic and timeless, with a twist of modern fashion, Elisabeth’s wedding was all of those things and more. Every detail was executed in the most fabulous of ways. This traditional bride isn’t afraid to break tradition. Elisabeth walked herself down the aisle, and she and Jet spent the entire wedding day together instead of waiting to see one another during the ceremony. “One of my bridesmaids pointed out the fact that if your bridesmaids are standing behind you during the ceremony, they can’t see your face! So we had our bridal party sit on the front row so we could all look at each other and be present together,” Elisabeth says.
That moment was sweet, and so were the calla lilies. “My favorite flower has always been calla lilies, and even though they aren’t traditionally bridal, they were such a beautiful element throughout my wedding,” Elisabeth says. “I even wore calla lily earrings in our engagement photos.” Fashion has always been on the front of Elisabeth’s mind, and choosing just one wedding look is so last year. Elisabeth had not one, not two, but three wedding looks throughout the big day. From her ballgown with a corset for the ceremony, to her exit jumpsuit with a sparkly scarf that trailed down her back, to a feather mini dress in between, Elisabeth was serving looks all day.
But the wardrobe wasn’t the only thing with surprise changes that day. “I had been growing out my bangs so we could achieve a hairstyle where the front of my hair could become a sort of headband for the ceremony. But the updo I wanted for the reception didn’t look right without those front pieces,” Elisabeth says. “So Tiffany Pritchett, owner of Pritchett Bridal and Salon Pritchett – and a hair-and-makeup stylist to boot – actually cut my side bangs in between the ceremony and reception so we could get the best of both worlds.”
