JUNE 12, 2014 // Aly + Jace
It was love at first class for BYU students Aly Johnson and Jace Peterson. “I thought Aly was beautiful,” Jace says. “I even went home and told my roommate I had found my wife.” And find her he did. Their first date started with country dancing, which eventually led to that life-changing moment when Jace proposed. Jace took Aly to Ensign Peak and convinced her it was tradition to blindfold anyone who hadn’t seen the view before. When Jace took the blindfold off, it was true love at first sight. Aly saw rose petals everywhere and Jace got down on one knee. Friends were lighting off fireworks at the bottom of the mountain, while other friends recorded the proposal at the top. And as for the wedding planning? They schooled it. “We got everything done beforehand so we weren’t stressed on our wedding day,” Aly says. “We were excited and ready to finally get married.”
