May 2, 2015 // Chelsi + Craig
We’re going to the Tinder, and we’re going to get married. Just ask Chelsi Richards and Craig Peterson. “We Tindered to the temple, as our friends would say!” laughs Chelsi, who grew up in Pleasant Grove. Their modern meeting ultimately led to a good old fashioned romance — and one perfect proposal. “He told me we were going to Sundance for his brother’s birthday dinner,” she says. “When we got there, his dad led us to a patio in the back. It was lit up, and both of our families were holding ‘will you marry me?’ signs. When I turned back around to look at him, he was down on one knee!” Her yes, of course, was a no-brainer. For wedding planning, Chelsi picked her top three priorities to keep from getting overwhelmed. “My dress, my flowers, and my photographer!” she says. And her colors? “Marsala, blush pink, gold and cream. I loved the way Marsala made everything look classy. Right after I chose it, I found out Marsala was Pantone’s Color of the Year. Even better!” When the wedding day arrived, magic was in the air. “We somehow managed to pick the only Saturday in May that did not rain!” Chelsi says. “Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Having all of our loved ones and friends there to celebrate with us was the icing on the cake.”
