October 3, 2014 // April + Nick
April Sorensen and Nick Fullmer are living right. The Utah Valley-bred couple (her Cedar Hills, him Pleasant Grove) took to the Tinder, swiped right, and left the rest to first-date fate. They ate at Milagros. They laughed at ComedySportz. And they left impressive impressions. “I thought he was manly, handsome, laid back, genuine, sweet, chivalrous and blond, which was a first for me,” April says. “He said he was pleasantly surprised by my kindness, how pretty I was, and my very bold and straightforward approach to conversation.” So in honor of April, we’ll give it to you straight: That split second swipe turned into a forever proposal. “He gave the most beautiful, heartfelt preface to the question every girl wants to hear. It was perfect and personal — a moment I will relive in my mind for the rest of my life. Moments like that are too good even for Hollywood.” Equally glamorous? April’s classically chic choices. For her wedding, she chose black, gold and ivory. She sparkled (and stood out) in a headpiece she made herself. And she chose a photographer — McKenzie Deakins — who could capture the magic. “I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again. It was perfectly magical and I felt like a princess,” April says. “It was the kind of day every girl dreams of, mostly because the man I married was more than I could have ever hoped for.”
