First up? Hannah and Lawsen, who went from a fake proposal one year to a very real one the next …
“Our first date was a blind date. My sister and his roommate had set us up without me knowing until about two hours before the date. Blind dates rarely work out, and I didn’t feel like going — but my sister had already committed me. He took me ice skating at the Gallivan Center downtown. He showed off with all of his figure skating tricks, got me hot chocolate, fake proposed to me in front of everyone at the ice rink, and took me to meet his new puppy later in the night. I remember thinking, ‘Who is this boy?!’ Well, over a year later he took me back to the Gallivan Center. He convinced me it was to help our blogger friend out who wanted to film a couple doing cute date night activities in Utah. She recorded us ice skating, and at the end of the shoot she told me to look at the camera while Lawsen skated up behind me to grab my waist and spin me around. I watched the camera until the videographer told me to turn around, and when I did, Lawsen was down on one knee. It is so special to have these memories on video to look back on, and even more special to be engaged in the same place we had our first date.” — Hannah
