Branch Out

Date
Jun, 12, 2017

It’s Magazine Monday, lovies. And today we’re sharing this gorgeous look from our floral feature in the 2017 magazine. Happy scrolling!

A few well-placed twigs and branches within a bouquet are ideal for framing the floral elements — as well as providing gorgeous texture and dimension. Wright Flower Company shows us how it’s done with this petal pleaser. “The wild, organic look will definitely be popular this year,” owner Cherie Wright says.

Pick of the Tips

2 Bouts 2 Boot “Boutonnieres are pinned on a 98 degree body that is being hugged all day,” Cherie says. “They can quickly start looking tired. I like to plan on having two boutonnieres for the groom — one for the daytime and one for the reception.”

Double Duty “Bridesmaids can eat up your floral budget. One way to save money is to consider designing the bridesmaid bouquets as something that can fit into a vase for the centerpieces later on. Take photos of the bridesmaids with their bouquets at the beginning of the reception, and then adjust them for centerpieces. And of course, you can still have your bridesmaids take them home!”

P.S. This bouquet was part of a bigger feature on floral trends featured in our 2017 issue. You can check out our cascading bouquet here. And then stay tuned for the other three perfect petals! (Or, if you can’t wait, pick up a copy of our magazine — on newsstands now!)
