It’s Magazine Monday! Here’s a closer look at Abby and Garrison’s lovely lake nuptials from our 2018 glossy pages (on newsstands now!). These two will steal your heart, y’all.
Abby + Garrison // July 17, 2017
Abby Crozier wed Garrison Richens at Moon Resort — next to the mountains, the beach and nothing but gray skies. “Right as we started to say our vows, the rain started to sprinkle,” Abby says. “And as we were exiting the ceremony it turned into a downpour of rain! It was absolutely beautiful.” Rain on their parade? Not a chance.
DARLING DATE “We both love being outdoors, and one of our favorite dates is going snowboarding. It has become something we do quite often, but it never gets old. We love a challenge!”
PERFECT PROPOSAL “We went to Moab for a couples trip with our friends, and we went skydiving at Canyonlands. He jumped first, and then me. When I got close enough to the ground, he had a huge sign laid across the ground saying, ‘Abby, will you marry me?’ When my feet hit the ground, I swear I blacked out from excitement! And of course I said YES!”
FAVORITE ACCESSORY “My favorite accent piece wasn’t exactly showing, but my mom handed down a delicate handkerchief that has been passed through generations. I pinned it to the inside of my dress and kept it close to me all day.”
VOWZA VENDOR “Photographer Kristina Curtis was awesome to work with and made us feel comfortable during all of our shoots. I would recommend her to EVERYONE.”
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT “Seeing Garrison’s face when I started to walk down the aisle, as well as having my dad walk me down the aisle. He is the most important man in my life, and I am so lucky to have him! It was a real tear jerker.”
PICTURE THIS The Richens’ wedding took place where the lake met the land. There were wooden signs both large and small (and sayings both cute and sweet). The decor had an abundance of greenery. (How stunning is that ceremony backdrop?) The bridesmaid gowns popped with their gorgeous shades of light and dark purple. And the food was comfort at its finest. “We had a local business do Dutch oven dinners,” Abby says. “Their cobblers are to die for!” After the nuptials, the happy couple took the boat out for a dearly beloved spin.
