MARCH ON

On Jan. 28 of last year, we celebrated our 2020 glossy pages at Walker Farms in Lindon. It was our biggest issue ever — 188 pages! And we partied hard with our 200 closest friends, vendors, and brides with what was sure to be the best wedding year on record.

Y’all know what happened next. Five weeks later came the wedding March — and not the good kind.

When Covid-19 shut down the country, we faced the unsettling unknowns of a harrowing and heartbreaking global pandemic. In the wedding world, ceremonies were postponed, venues and temples closed, and RSVPs were checkmarked with regrets. Our #UVBvendor fam faced the harsh realities of cancelled calendars, while guidelines on gathering changed all day, every day.

But then something beautiful happened. You created new wedding dreams. Whether that meant eloping in a backyard, trading a veil for a mask, hosting events 6 feet apart, or postponing your festivities to 2021 (hello, again!), you pivoted your plans — but not your love.

This year, our 124 glossy pages are smaller — but still mighty! (Much like the now in vogue micro-weddings.) We’ve got 13 local lovefests, 33 gowns to gush over, 4 iconic wedding images from this Covid era, and inspiring editorials for every style.

When you’re done flipping out over these glossy beauties, you can find more dreaminess on UtahValleyBride.com and on our Instagram feed that has 100K of the most fun, kind and helpful followers in all the land (@UtahValleyBride)

Vendors? Thank you for sharing your talents with the UVB community. We continue to exist because of your support; we’ve forever got your back.

And couples? Thank you for sharing your love stories with us for two decades. (!!) All the cheers to you!

Undoubtedly, 2021 still has many unknowns ahead. But what we do know is that you’ll march on with style, flexibility, compassion, and heart.

xoxo.
