Katelin + Cameron

Date
Feb, 12, 2018

A new print issue means new Magazine Mondays here on UtahValleyBride.com! (eeek!) And our very first one goes to none other than bride Katelin Parcell — who gorgeously graces our cover right now on newsstands! We adore her. We adore her wedding. And you will, too, friends. You will, too.

Katelin Parcell + Cameron Rock // April 14, 2017

Ever since Cameron Rock was a kid, he had been saving up his quarters to buy a wedding ring for the girl of his dreams. Then along came Katelin Parcell. “I love the sacrifice it showed for the years he had been saving,” Katelin says. “I’m a lucky girl!” The two wed at the Salt Lake Temple and had a sparkling celebration that was “unique, traditional and outrageous.”

DESTINY DATE “My favorite date we went on? April 14, 2016. Yes, the exact date one year before we got married. We went to the Ellie Golding concert, and it was the night Cam told me he loved me for the first time. That’s why we chose the date we did to get married!”

PERFECT PROPOSAL “I was on vacation with my family in St. George. Cam called my brother and they faked a photo shoot for my sister-in-law’s clothing company. We were trying to find the photo location when I saw a random guy in a suit standing on Dixie Rock. I said that must be a good place because a ‘weird guy in a suit’ was standing there. Come to find out it was Cam with a pathway of roses leading to him! It was so fun. I was dressed up, there was a camera there, and it worked out perfectly!”

BRIDALS BONANZA “I actually had four sets of bridals. Ha! I wanted forever memories of this time in my life, and my dress for sure got use. When we went to the Salt Flats, my dress got all salty and we had to wash it in the bathtub!”

SPECIAL SONG “I am a HUGE fan of Beyonce, so naturally I had to choose ‘Love on Top.’ I never wanted my first dance to be slow so it was a perfect fit for us in starting our crazy life together!”

PICTURE THIS Katelin shined in her amethyst Hayley Paige dress. “I was so scared not to have a traditional white wedding gown, but I am glad I took a chance! The color was amazing and matched the cherry blossoms of the season.” That unconventional choice went along perfectly with her wedding decor dreams where tradition meets individuality. Guests were greeted by elegant ice sculptures, an oversized LOVE sign, and a decadent donut display (with his-and-her donuts, of course). A live band added excitement, and the floral chandelier wowed from above. “My wedding planner could read my mind!” she says. Her bridesmaids wore peach. Her sisters wore pistachio. And Katelin and Cam left under the Sundance stars for their Bali honeymoon surrounded by loved ones and glitter confetti.
