Looking for Something Different

Liz speaks from her own personal experience while ring shopping with her husband Brad, the other owner and founder of Staghead Designs. The ring options she had available at the time weren’t calling to her like she wanted them to.

“When we were getting married, I was overwhelmingly disappointed with the options available to me. I had limited knowledge of jewelry and a very, very limited budget. I ended up with a ‘mall’ ring, and while I still love its meaning and sentiment, I yearned for something different for both myself and my husband.”

While hiking the hills around their home in Utah, Liz and Brand found an antler shed, and she asked Brad to make her a ring from it. So he did, and then he made more and more, eventually adding wood to them. They began selling those wood and antler rings at farmers markets and on Etsy, and slowly, Brad became a self-taught wood and antler ring jeweler.

“Our interest grew, and we went from working on the living room floor with Dremel tools to running a full-scale shop with over 30 employees.”
