Tale As Old As Time
A middle school love story turned into a stunning Utah summer wedding straight out of a fairytale—but that’s just the short version of this sweet love story. Caeden had always had a massive crush on Chloee since they had a keyboarding class together, but Chloee was never interested in him in “that way.” Caeden made a pledge that he would never get into a relationship with anyone but Chloee, and that pledge held up all the way through high school.
Fast forward to when Caeden joined the Marine Corps and when he was stationed in California, Chloee just so happened to be visiting Disneyland. He reached out on a whim and they both felt that spark.
“Many 10-hour drives back to Utah and endless flights from SLC to LAX, one thousand and one days of long-distance,” later, they said I do in a romantic Utah summer wedding that feels like it came from a fantasy.
Built-In Wedding Planning Team
When it came to wedding planning, Chloee had it more difficult than most, but she had help. “I loved wedding planning—it was so fun for me, my mom & oldest sister! With my fiancé being in the military, this was the hardest part of wedding planning. We never knew when he was going to be gone, or not be able to talk for weeks—even setting our wedding date was a struggle, so I relied heavily upon my mom and sisters. My overall favorite part of wedding planning was seeing it all come together and the relationships I built with my wedding vendors.”
Luckily for Chloee, she had an amazing team of wedding vendors and of course, amazing family to help her bring her dream wedding to life! But that’s not all Chloee loved about wedding planning.
“My mom, sister, and I DIY-ed a lot of things, and that will forever be something I think is the most memorable thing—hanging out at my mom’s house doing all the crafts!”
A Wedding Venue and Details Straight Out of a Fantasy
Her top three priorities for wedding planning were having amazing photography and videography, finding an incredible dress, and having the perfect venue—and we can definitely say she got her wish.
“My photographer went above and beyond in every way possible, I’m so blessed to be an Erika Taylor bride!”
And her venue? It was more than just perfect—it was an inspiration. “After seeing my beautiful wedding venue’s stained glass windows and gold chairs, Belle from Beauty & the Beast became a strong influence for me.”
This stunning Utah summer wedding is a tale as old as time!
Utah Summer Wedding Romantic Moments
On the morning of the wedding, Chloee chose to have a moment with her bridesmaids. “We had my wedding venue all day with a groom suite and a bride suite, so I had the whole bridal party get ready together yes in the cutest matching outfits ever. I picked different shades of blue and gold for my big day. My bridesmaids were my ‘something blue!’”
And they wanted to keep the classic wedding tradition of not seeing the bride before the wedding. “We had the rehearsal the morning of without Caeden because we wanted to wait until the ceremony to see each other.”
The ceremony was officiated by Chloee’s brother-in-law—for whom she officiated his wedding to her maid of honor and sister. Talk about a fated full-circle moment!
Chloee’s favorite moment from their Utah summer wedding was the moment it became official, “Saying I do and kissing my husband in front of those stained glass windows I had been dreaming about forever.”
And some of her favorite details from the day were her floral arrangements—all made by her mom. Anyone would feel like a princess walking down the aisle next to those gorgeous florals!
Disney Details
Then came the celebration. “We had the most beautiful speeches and special dances. The DJ kept everyone on the floor. We truly had the best day!
And don’t worry, the fairytale details don’t stop at their story-book venue. “We love Disney and Star Wars, so we had a lot of little Disney details. We had a big mirror that said, ‘And they lived happily ever after,’ and a sign that said, ‘Onto our next adventure.’”
“Our signature, dirty sodas were called, ‘I love you’ and, ‘I know,’ a nod to Princess Leia and Han Solo.” But wait, there’s more—they had a little carriage-shaped ring box, and ended the night with a lightsaber exit.
And last, but certainly not least, they rode away in an actual carriage—one final surprise from Chloee’s mom. We mean it when we say this Utah summer wedding is an actual fairytale come to life!
Chloee’s advice for brides and couples who are in the middle of planning their own fantasy wedding come true is to embrace help where you need it. “Just enjoy every moment and never stop dating each other! Don’t be afraid to ask for help.”
This love story come to life has us wishing on a star for our very own horse-drawn carriage princess moment! Take it from Chloee and Caeden, all the best love stories are worth waiting for. We’re beyond obsessed with every detail of this fairytale Utah summer wedding.
