Your Border Collie Behind the Lens

What’s the best way to capture a wedding? You want your wedding photos to be as timeless, natural, and joyful as the memories of your big day. That’s where the talent and expertise of Coley Cook Photography comes in. As a long-time Utah wedding photographer and videographer, Coley makes the wedding day experience about more than just snapping some pictures.

As a born and raised Utah native, Nicole “Coley” Cook started doing photography in 2016, after leaving her job as a veterinary tech. She was looking for a more flexible work schedule and discovered that not only did she have a talent for photography, but she loved it. And almost 10 years later, she’s still doing what she loves.

And Coley knew immediately that she needed to be on the Utah wedding photographer and videographer vendor list.

“I’m slightly obsessed with weddings and all things weddings—which is funny because I’m very much a tomboy. But I love weddings and dresses and florals—the whole shebang, I love it all.”

She even loved weddings when she was younger, so it was inevitable for her to end up as a Utah wedding photographer and videographer!

“The magazines that I used to hide under my bed were all wedding magazines, I’d go in my room and I’d open it up and flip through all the wedding magazines.”

Hey Coley, we have a few magazines for you to add to your collection!

“That was my goal—if I did any photography, weddings would be the top tier of what I could do.”

Expertise From a Seasoned Utah Wedding Photographer

From your very first call with Coley, not only will you immediately value her expertise but feel like you’ve just made a new best friend in the wedding industry. She knows that you’ve never done this before, so she steps in to help and give advice where you need it in regards to your wedding photos.

The most common question Coley gets from her wedding clients is, “Can you help us with a timeline? We don’t know how many hours we need for wedding photos.”

And that’s why your first call with Coley is so essential.

“I understand that most people have never had to plan a wedding before. I have photographed over 300 weddings, so I’ve been part of a lot of different timelines and I have a really good handle on about how long it’s going to take to photograph different parts of the day.”

Take it from her, you want someone with that kind of experience to make your wedding day run as smoothly and and enjoyable as possible. And it doesn’t hurt that her pictures are absolutely gorgeous.

Coley gets all of her Utah wedding photography clients their sneak peeks in just 72 hours—that’s fast! So while you’re blissed out on post-nuptial honeymoon relaxation, you’ll be able to share your favorite moments from your wedding with anyone and everyone within days.

And here’s the best part—some of her wedding photography packages come with an anniversary session. The fun doesn’t even stop after the wedding is over! And we know for a fact that once you spend even a moment with Coley, you’ll want to keep spending time with her.

Fast-Paced and People-Friendly

Coley and her team show up ready to party. “I call myself your border collie for the day—I’m super jazzed to be there working, it gives me tons of energy. I’m excited. I’m ready to be there for anything that you need.”

Being around people and being in a fast-paced environment is what makes photographing weddings so exciting for Coley, and why she’s so good at it.

“I really love people and being around people. I’ve done other kinds of photography, like food and product and landscape, but I really love the interaction and the ‘people’ aspect of weddings.”

“I operate really well in the higher-pressure fast-paced situations. I used to work in an emergency veterinary clinic. I like that and I function well in that—so the more high-pressure, fast-paced, quick-change of a wedding mixed in with everybody just being ready to go and have a good time is a place where I thrive. I really love it.”

This border collie knows her way around the most exciting day of your life!

Call Coley for Comfort

One of the things that sets Coley apart as a Utah wedding photographer and videographer is the fact that she makes everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera.

“If you feel nervous or you don’t like having your photo taken, you should call me.”

Her clients have said everything from, “It felt like we were just hanging out with friends,” to, “We were so nervous, we don’t like photo shoots and honestly, it went so fast.”

Coley gets along with everybody at your wedding, and your guests will be gushing about how friendly (and funny!) she is.

“It makes me feel really good when I get those reviews, but honestly it comes down to this; if you’re looking for somebody who is relaxed, and likes to laugh, and who’s friendly overall and good with people—I would be your photographer.”

Coley has seen it all, from horses to razor rides at weddings, and she never gets tired of being one of the best Utah wedding photographers and videographers around. So no matter what kind of wedding you have, Coley Cook Photography is going to be the best option for capturing your wedding day in photos that are timeless, natural, and joyful—and as unforgettable as Coley!
