If you’re a bride, you’re looking for a venue that’s beautiful. According to Cynthia, the owner of Copper Creek Event Center, every bride deserves a space that fills that need. For the last ten years, Cynthia and her team have worked hard to ensure that every couple who comes through their doors feels like they have a space where they can celebrate their love.
From the moment she saw the windows, Cynthia knew that the space needed to be a wedding venue. The views are hard to beat, and combined with the intentional decor, it’s the perfect place for brides looking for a modern, elegant, and already-ready backdrop to their big day.
A Place That Feels Like Home
The name Copper Creek comes from the giant copper dome on top of the building—right above the octagonal ballroom in the center of the space. Cynthia leaned into the copper theme, being intentional about things like the copper tiles on the fireplace, and the light green tones in the ceiling were inspired by what will eventually be the color of the roof. But that’s not even all of it. From the herringbone flooring to the chandeliers, every aspect of the space was created with brides in mind.
“When it finally came down to it, and this is what we were going to do, well, then it had to have everything. I said, ‘I’m not going to do this halfway.’”
Copper Creek has hosted all kinds of weddings, with decor ranging from stacks of haybales to dozens of live trees, and everything in between. “We’ve done the simple bouquet of daisies in the center to these full-on elaborate two-foot high centerpieces that were just out of this world.”
It doesn’t matter which way you go, because, “It’s got a good enough bone structure that it fits with whatever you’re doing.”
“I want it to be a place where they can walk in, put their bridesmaid’s flowers on the tables, and not have to do an ounce more decorating and still feel like they have everything. I want them to walk into this space and go, ‘Oh, I am a bride.’ I want it to feel like home.”
Focus On the Relationships
Beyond looking amazing and providing the perfect space for your celebration, the team at Copper Creek prioritizes the experience of each couple and their guests. “I wanted it to be a place where you were cared for, you didn’t have to think about it. You just walk in and our staff is here for you. You could do as much as you want—but you don’t have to.”
From the moment you take a tour of the venue—or a 3D tour on their website—to the second you drive away in your getaway car, the process is as easy and straightforward as possible. Cynthia wants you to ask as many questions as you need to. “There’s never a wrong question. Ask anything.”
And at the end of the day, they’ll be in charge of cleaning up. “We try to really have it be the least stressful part. Because there’s enough stress with the emotions of a wedding.”
A big part of that is because Cynthia believes that your wedding day is all about the relationships. “It’s been a long day. Go sort your gifts. Go talk to your family who’s in town. You have better things to do than stack chairs. The relationships are what is important. The stuff is just stuff.”
And that’s her biggest piece of advice for any couple in the process of planning a wedding. “Make it about the relationships—make it about the people that you care about, and that’s the most important thing. Focus on who you love and the person that you’re there with to make that commitment.”
The Copper Creek team keeps that same advice in mind when they’re coordinating each event—focusing on the people first. “It’s all about the love.”
And it really is all about the love, whether we’re talking about the love between you and your future spouse or the love that’s been poured into every detail of your big day at Copper Creek.
