Irene + Stefen

Date
Jun, 08, 2020

It’s Magazine Monday! And today we have a closer look at the gorgeously charming nuptials of Stefen and Irene — straight from our glossy pages

Irene Pan and Stefen Osborn are #couplegoals. They are both pharmacists and met when Irene was volunteering at a homeless shelter where Stefen was doing a clinical rotation.

After a cute courtship, Stefen popped the question on a winter hike and Irene got to work planning their summer celebration. The first item of dearly-beloved business was her gown — and The Perfect Dress did her right. “I never pictured myself in a big dress,” Irene says. “It was in the window of the very last bridal shop we visited, and my best friend told me I had to try it on.” As soon as she slipped into those seams, she knew it was the one. “I totally had that moment!” she says.

Irene and Stefen exchanged vows at Red Butte Garden surrounded by lush trees and flowing greenery. Guests were treated to top-notch fare from Culinary Crafts. There were heartwarming toasts and unforgettable moments, like when Irene’s parents surprised her with an engraved gold bracelet. And every detail and moment was magically captured by photographer Katie Griff Photo.

It was everything a wedding day should be — filled with family, friendship, fashion, fun, flavor and forever love.

PICTURE THIS Irene and Stefen both grew up in Utah — Irene in Draper and Stefen in Coalville. They chose the simple elegance of Red Butte Garden for their wedding day. The venue got that much more lovely when Irene brought in a harpist. Irene planned to wear her heels all day, but some smart bridesmaids gifted her flats that ended up coming in handy! “We all changed into flats after the ceremony, in preparation for a night of dancing — and ease of getting to the buffet, of course,” she says.

DREAM SCENE The wedding day forecast threatened to rain on their parade, but miraculously, Irene and Stefen woke up to sunny skies. “We got to have our outdoor garden wedding!” she says. After the couple’s first dance, a complete downpour ensued. “Not like a little bit of drizzle — but full on!” she says. “The best part was that my wedding guests completely embraced it, umbrellas appeared, and our DJ did a full set of rain-themed music.”
