We’re Gonna Get Married

If you’re a traditional, classic kind of bride who dreams about going to the chapel to walk down the aisle, then this is the perfect traditional Utah wedding venue for you. From the stunning stained glass windows to the classic little white church vibe right in the heart of Utah, Northampton House is the place where you’ll get your “princess Belle” moment.

Originally built in 1903 as a church building for the early residents of American Fork, Utah, Northampton House was bought and converted into a wedding venue over 20 years ago, and now it’s newly remodeled for the wedding of your dreams over a hundred years later. Let’s be real, one look at those windows (original to 1903!) and you’ll be ready to book your ceremony.

For Daniel Driggs, the most recent owner of Northampton House, it’s hard to pick a favorite part of this traditional Utah wedding venue. But one of his top highlights is the paintings they brought in as decoration during the renovations.

“Bringing in the artwork was really powerful because, in 1903, the pioneers were just settling American Fork. The artwork is of the Mormon Trail, and seeing that journey of what it took to get here, and what they chose to put into this building, how strong this building is, the bones of this building, and the fact that they spent their own time and money building this—I think the artwork is an homage to everything that they did, and so it’s fun to have their journey or the landscapes of their journey in our building.”

What’s more sentimental than choosing a little white church with a rich history to be the place for your I dos?

Touring Your Traditional Utah Wedding Venue

When you want to reach out to Northampton House, they are available 24/7 to answer your messages. “We want to be responsive at all times.”

And you can tour the traditional Utah wedding venue at any time! “We do free tours, then once you have decided you want to book, we send over the contract, you sign the booking papers, and we save your date.” You can walk through it as many times as you need.

When you tour Northampton House, you’ll notice one main thing—that it’s different than any other venue in the area. It has that classic, going-to-the-chapel wedding vibe.

“It makes you feel like you are a princess—you’re getting married in one of the most beautiful spots, with the stained glass and the grand staircase. I think that’s the biggest draw for the traditional, ‘princess’ brides.”

Daniel says it’s your perfect Beauty and the Beast moment, and we have to agree.

Stunning Staircase to Stained Glass

As the owner of a catering company as well, Daniel knows the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful Utah wedding vendor business, and that extends to Northampton House perfectly.

“What I like the most about Northampton is that we’ve been able to focus on wowing every bride that comes through, and making that a priority. Doing more than what they expect. It’s cool that we can provide that for them.”

And not only is it hard for Daniel to choose a favorite detail of the gorgeous traditional Utah wedding venue, but it’s also hard for him to pick a favorite wedding out of all the ones they’ve hosted.

“My favorite events are when they come down the stairs, and there’s the ceremony right in front of those beautiful stained glass windows. Watching them walk down the stairs and go straight up the aisle to the stained glass and get married—it’s beautiful.”

But if he had to choose, he especially loves watching his own friends make that romantic walk toward the stunning stained glass.

“We’ve had multiple weddings of our employees who have gotten married here. And those really stand out to me because I love that every day they work here—and the magic is still here.”

“That’s what matters to me, is the fact that you can be working here every day, and you still want the most important day of your life to be here, and to have it be a part of your magical day.”

We can’t disagree—the magic of this beautiful venue will simply never fade for us either. It’s been stunning for over a century after all. And that’s just the beginning, we haven’t even mentioned the gorgeous rose garden. Even more romantic details for your classic wedding look!

Prioritizing Wedding Details that Matter to You

Daniel’s advice for couples who are planning a wedding is to prioritize the things you’re most excited about.

“Prioritize the things that matter to you. Especially if you’re on a budget—if your favorite thing is a DJ, then spend the money on the DJ. If your favorite thing is a venue or where you’re getting married, then spend the money on the venue. If you’re a foodie, spend the money on food—allocate the resources to the things that you love and spend a lot on those and find everything else on a budget.”

Take it from us, Northampton House is a dream come true when it comes to finding a traditional Utah wedding venue. They’ll prioritize you—and make your dream wedding come to life. If you’re looking for a little white church, classic going-to-the-chapel vibes, or your very own princess bride moment as you walk down the aisle underneath historic stained glass windows, this is the place for you.
