ISABELLE GLASGOW + JARED JENSEN 8.26.23
Though friends since 7th grade and briefly a couple during high school, the sparks between Isabelle Glasgow and Jared Jensen didn’t fully ignite until they reconnected after Jared’s mission.
“He’s always had such a fun personality,” Isabelle says. “I needed someone always down to adventure, and I loved that about him from the beginning.” When they started dating seriously, Jared took the proposal to the next level.
“She didn’t think I could surprise her, and I knew I could,” Jared says. “We bet a pair of shoes on it!”
Isabelle was headed to the Cali coast for a photo shoot for her clothing brand Ivory Belle, but Jared said he couldn’t swing the trip. Isabelle’s mom and sister (who were in on the secret) reassured her that it would be the perfect girls’ trip.
Isabelle’s mom had her birthday while on the trip, and she told Isabelle to dress up for dinner. In her cutesy pink dress, Isabelle and her sister stopped at Table Rock beach for a quick sunset photo sesh. But her dream boy emerged.
Surprise! There was Jared, walking toward her around the ocean cliffs. Island ecstatic, Isabelle ran to meet him as he dropped one knee into the sand.
August 26th came, and the lovestruck couple was sealed in the Payson Utah Temple.
In between the sealing and the reception, Isabelle and Jared hung around the house since the reception was being set up in her parents’ backyard.
“It was so fun because we’re just chilling around the house watching everything get brought to life — the cake, the decorations, the flowers,” Isabelle says.
“We’re just sitting there like, how is this real?”
And the rest of the night continued to swirl like magic from the dance party to the photo booth to the silver confetti send-off. “Just married” never looked so good.
“You always hear that a few things go wrong, but we genuinely had the most perfect day,” Isabelle says.
They were married in the Payson Utah Temple, then had the most charming reception in Isabelle’s parents’ backyard. “I feel like backyard weddings are a little more intimate, and you have more creativity to bring your vision to life,” Isabelle says.
