Love and Lace

What better way to celebrate Valentineโ€™s Day than to bring you this dreamy and romantic backyard wedding ceremony setup? Between the layers and layers of lace from the backdrop to the mantilla-style veil on our bride, itโ€™s giving Romeo and Juliet in the best way possible, thanks to Sydnee Rayl Photography. And there truly were never more star-crossed lovers than Shakespeareโ€™s most recognizable couple.

Our two lovers from fair Verona (or, in this case, Utah) are none other than Ben and Ashton, the perfect couple to capture the wistful longing we know and love in Romeo and Juliet. They look at each other so lovingly, it has us asking, Romeo, wherefore art thou?

And Juliet looks insanely good, gazing down from her balcony, or up from this grassy garden patch, as she sneaks away with Romeo, whose lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.

Forbidden Lovers

Kori Laurel took an already stunning scene and levelled it up by styling Juliet with a veil that makes us blush like pilgrims. Did you see those lace socks? Perfect for running away with a forbidden lover to a backyard wedding ceremony, in our opinion.

Paired perfectly with hair by Sarah Michelle Artistry and makeup by Lexi Harker Beauty, this runaway Capulet is ready to say I do.

Julietโ€™s dramatic lace gown is, of course, aptly named the โ€œLoveโ€ gown, by designer Watters and found at Fantasy Bridal. This dress makes the love fantasy come to life so perfectly, itโ€™s impossible to look away, for we never saw such beauty โ€˜till this! If Shakespeare had seen this dress, he would have rewritten his play just to include it.

But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? Is it the way the sparkle glints so stunningly off this ring from Wilson Diamonds? It is the East, and Juliet is the sun.

Sealed with a Kiss

And our thrilling tale, where we lay our scene, would be incomplete without the florals so magnificently done by Olive and Sage Floral. That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet. But how about these devastatingly beautiful pink and green hydrangeas? The whole scene together is truly to die for, the way Shakespeare would have wanted.

Itโ€™s okay if you linger here just a bit longer, just to gaze longingly into this stunningly romantic backyard wedding ceremony setup. We still havenโ€™t stopped looking at them either. Sigh, parting is such sweet sorrowโ€ฆ
