A Pink, Orange, and Purple Wedding: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Picture this: your father, an Athenian nobleman, wants to marry you off to the handsome Demetrius. Only one problem…you’re in love with Lysander. So you plan to run off with your lover to elope in the enchanted forest. “The course of true love never did run smooth.”

The pink, orange, and purple flowers you come across are more than just stunning; they’re magical. No, literally. A tricky little fairy named Puck used these magical flowers to trick everyone into falling in love with someone else. Including the fairy queen, who falls in love with…a donkey? Good thing, “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind (and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind).”

Fairy Floral Mischief

It all works out in the end, but not after a few bumbling attempts at romance with the wrong person and a Shakespearean duel. But let’s be real, one look at this styled shoot and the fairies just had to bless this bride the same way they blessed the characters in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Sadie Photo outdid herself by capturing the drama of the night in such an enchanting way.

This pink, orange, and purple wedding inspo is downright enchanting, but in a beautiful, bridal kind of way, not a magical flower juice kind of way. Blooms By Marley is actually the one who’s magical, by putting together Hermia’s bridal bouquet and those stunning floral columns worthy of a fairy queen.

Duke of Athens and Queen of the Fairies

And let’s not forget the florals around that cake, which is reminiscent of an Athenian colonnade from whence you came. The Duke of Athens might have to requisition Ky’s Cakes for his very own magical Grecian cake for his midsummer wedding.

But here’s the real stunner of the dream: this beautiful bride Oaklyn Waterfall is the perfect casting for a romantic frolic through the woods to get married. Her Just Girl Stuff Bridal gown is giving I-just-fell-in-love-with-a-donkey-head-guy-on-accident, AKA queen of the forest fairies. She waits at her table like Helena and Hermia wait for their true loves to wake from a summer slumber.

Pink, Orange, and Purple Wedding Inspo

This styled shoot brings our famous mixed-up lovers to the stunning brickscape of The Fifth Floor, in a jaw-dropping way that has us asking, “What angel wakes me from my flow’ry bed?” Nothing paints a picture of romance more than this pink, orange, and purple wedding color palette next to gorgeous walls like these.

If you’re concerned at all about having a donkey at your wedding, fear not, it’s not a requirement for an A Midsummer Night’s Dream-inspired wedding. But it also couldn’t hurt.
At the end of the night, these photos are so stunning that it almost feels like we’re seeing them in a dream. Go ahead, take as long as you need to. We know… We still haven’t stopped looking at them either. If you feel yourself getting sleepy… “Think but this, and all is mended, that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear.”
