Planning your dream Utah wedding? Don’t know where to start with organizing your wedding timeline? Take it from Jana Wall at The Barn at Wall Brothers Orchards, planning your Utah wedding timeline before your big day will make all the difference in giving you the wedding day you’ve always dreamed of. Planning ahead with a great wedding venue will always give you more time to relax and enjoy the moments when the day finally comes.
And when it comes to The Barn, there isn’t anything quite as magical as a spring wedding in the middle of a cherry orchard; you’ll want to make time for those gorgeous photos. Jana’s here to give you the perfect wedding timeline outline at their venue and beyond!
Start With a 12-Hour Rental Period
“There are so many ways to plan your wedding timeline, and we are here to help you along the way! Many brides choose to do a ceremony or ring ceremony first, followed by a luncheon and reception.”
When you have your wedding at The Barn, their 12-hour rental period is perfect for making sure you get those crucial wedding moments. When you’re able to rent the entire day at any wedding venue, it takes away the stress of hitting every single thing on your to-do list with a limited amount of time.
“Our 12-hour day rental is perfect for your wedding day. When you are able to rent the entire day at The Barn, you can stress less about running out of time, traveling to different locations, and just enjoy the day. It also allows you to have a ceremony, dinner, and reception all in one location.”
And when your wedding location is as gorgeous as this one, you won’t want to leave!
Create an Outline For Your Utah Wedding Timeline First
As The Barn’s manager, Jana has seen more than a few weddings at the venue, and she knows from experience what a perfect Utah wedding timeline looks like. From saying I do in front of your dream rustic-chic backdrop to bridal portraits under the magical cherry blossoms, there’s enough time for all of it.
The best place to start is to have a basic outline of the day’s activities and then organize your unique events and moments from there.
Here is how Jana would plan a Utah wedding timeline if she were to get married this year:
- 10:00-11:00 am | Arrive at The Barn to get settled in and start getting ready
- 1:00 pm | Eat lunch and finalize details for the ceremony
- 1:30 pm | Guests arrive for the ceremony
- 2:00 pm | Ceremony begins
- 3:00 pm | Luncheon
- 5:00-7:00 pm | Take photos, touch up makeup and hair
- 7:00-9:00 pm | Reception!
Feel free to use this as a starting point!
No matter what your timeline ends up looking like, it’s always a great idea to start with the expertise of your wedding venue (and other wedding vendors)! Everyone’s wedding is different, and that means your Utah wedding timeline will be too.
“We make it a priority to meet with every couple before their wedding day to finalize any details and help them feel confident in their timeline. During the final walkthrough meeting, we strive to ease nerves and instill confidence in our brides so they can leave with feelings of excitement and anticipation for their big day.”
Unique Love Story, Unique Timeline
For every unique part of your love story, there’s going to be a unique part of your wedding day. “One unique thing that we have seen in a wedding timeline is a branding ceremony for the new couple. We have worked with Buck Wild mechanical bulls numerous times to bring entertainment and excitement to receptions!”
Adding branding and mechanical bulls to our Utah wedding timeline right between the ceremony and dinner.
Spring Weddings at The Barn at Wall Brothers Orchards
And if you’re thinking about when or where to have your wedding, The Barn should be your first tour stop.
“Spring weddings at the Barn are unmatched. Our beautiful cherry trees burst with white blossoms around the 25th of April and last until the beginning of May.”
Talk about our idea of a perfect date. All you spring wedding girlies, here is the answer to your prayers! But how can you make sure you perfectly time your wedding day with those legendary blooms?
“The timing of our blossoms is different every year and is very dependent on the weather! The good news is that we offer exclusive photography rights when you book an event with us at no extra cost. This means that even if your wedding day does not line up perfectly with the bloom, you can schedule a time to take photos in the orchard when the orchard is at peak bloom!”
And if you’ve been in Utah during the peak springtime blossoms, you know how dreamy it is. “The springtime weather in Utah is also perfect! It is normally not too hot, and just cool enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces that we offer!” And, may we add, all you need is a light (suit) jacket.
Fill In Your Priorities
In Jana’s experience, whether you have a spring wedding or not, planning your Utah wedding timeline ultimately comes down to your priorities. If your number one priority is bridals in the orchards, it’s important that you make time for it.
“On your wedding day, it is important to speak with your photographer and plan for time to take photos in the orchard. We suggest setting aside 30 minutes to an hour of time before your reception or at the beginning of your day to capture those breathtaking photos in the orchard.”
And if your top priority is to have the greatest dance party of all time, for example, make sure that’s in your schedule!
Don’t Forget the Send-Off
At the end of it all, of course, is your wedding send-off, the ultimate end to every Utah wedding timeline, no matter what it ends up looking like.
“The best way to end your wedding at The Barn is with a send-off under the warm light of the porch! We have beautiful bistro lighting lining our porch to add the perfect ambience to the end of your celebration. Don’t forget about the classic getaway car, or truck. Our couples always show up to the occasion with the coolest classic cars.”
Don’t mind us, just adding ‘classic getaway truck’ to our growing list of wedding day must-haves.
Make Time For the Sweet Moments
No matter where, when, or what your Utah wedding timeline looks like, the most important thing to remember is that you’re celebrating your love story. For Jana, it’s the best part of being at The Barn.
“My favorite part of the weddings that we host is the quiet moments between the bride and groom during their last dance together. It’s so sweet for them to slow down and enjoy being together after a crazy day of celebrating and talking to family and friends. The sendoff is always a highlight, too. The bride and groom always run out with the biggest smiles on their faces!”
So here’s one more thing to include in your Utah wedding timeline: that special quiet moment with your new spouse.
Book your tour at The Barn here, and don’t forget to ask about peak cherry blossom season while you’re there!
