Utah’s Hidden Gem DJ
Everyone loves a great DJ, but everyone loves it more when DJ Prime is behind the beats. Andrew Lagunes, also known as Andres, has been a Utah wedding DJ for over twenty years—and his first gig ever was when he was just 12 years old.
“My dad has been a very musical person my whole life. He’s always taught us to play instruments, to listen to music, to dance. Music has always been a very firm and stable background in my family and what’s brought me and my family together.”
Andrew watched his dad DJ different church events in their local Utah community, as well as run his own business. And that’s where Andrew got his inspiration from.
“I was around 12 years old, almost 13. And I told myself, ‘I’m going to do this. I want to be a DJ. I want to see how it is.’ And literally the next weekend, one of my brother’s friends was like, ‘Hey, I’m getting married. You want to DJ my wedding?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’”
And he’s been DJing ever since!
The DJ Prime Experience
Andrew is located in Lehi, a very conveniently central place for a Utah wedding DJ to reach everyone in our favorite state. “I get booked anywhere up to Ogden and all the way down south to Moab. I really love to cater to the entire state. And I am open to traveling.”

When you contact Andrew, whether through his website or social media, he makes it a goal to respond incredibly quickly. “I try to reach out literally within three hours. 24 hours is kind of my max, depending on if I already have an event or how busy I am, but within three hours is when you can expect me to go ahead and respond to you.”

As a born and raised Utahn, Andrew not only has an incredible talent for creating the most incredible dance parties in the state but for showing off some of his own moves as well. Just like his early start with his Utah wedding DJ career, he started dancing even earlier at around eight years old.
“One of the main reasons why I feel like it’s always felt so natural and I’ve always strived to provide the best at every single gig that I do, whether it’s at the club, whether it’s at a wedding, is because I understand exactly what it means to be on that dance floor.”
