“We just get very passionate about what we do. We like capturing other peoples’ love and it’s something that we really enjoy—being on this side of the camera and getting to know a lot of couples and people showing their love on such an important day.”
Yibi has been doing photography for almost a decade, and her husband would drive her to each of her sessions because she hated driving. They eventually decided to combine forces and work together, since Nimrod had a love for videography. Now, he still drives her to each of their sessions but he has a camera of his own. And they get to travel all over the world together doing destination wedding photography.
“We get to do it together—travel together, spend most of the days together. So it’s kind of fun! 24/7.”
When you’re as in love as these two, working together on weddings makes everything that much more magical. Aww.
“When we started doing destination photography for weddings and couples, it was even more emotional and meaningful, so that’s what I really liked about it.”
Global Expertise in Destination Wedding Photography
In the years since they started capturing photo and video for weddings full-time, they’ve traveled all over the world, capturing some of the most beautiful and amazing elopements and destination weddings. From Italy, Portugal, Greece, and Mexico, to all over the United States (and of course, right her in Utah), they’ve been a part of the sweetest “I dos.”
It’s so hard for them to pick a favorite, but a few stand out. “A destination wedding that we always look back on, not just the fact that it was in Italy but it was because we were invited to their wedding dinner and everything. We sat with them and it just felt like family abroad.”
“We were treated for those two days like part of the family. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite wedding—but that’s the one we felt the most appreciated.”
They have us wondering how many different languages you can say, “I love you!”

And no one loves their couples more than Lighthouse Media. “There are a lot of weddings that the couple really takes the time to make us feel like part of it. I think we’re one of the vendors that gets closer to the couple usually because we spend a lot of time along with them taking pictures. Sometimes on a different day than the wedding day, we get the opportunity to get to know them a little bit more than many other vendors.”
They love getting to know each of their couples on a deeper level. “We get to talk a lot, and ask questions. We really like that part of our job, and at weddings, we get that opportunity to actually connect with the couples.”
One thing that they pursue in their style is the candid, authentic moments with each click of the camera. “We’re not there for the Instagram shot, we’re there for them. We’re there to like capture their day as it went.”
The raw emotions they capture are enough to bring tears to our eyes. “It’s more than work for us. It’s more like we get to share this moment with them.”
Yibi and Nimrod are so passionate about their job because they enjoy what they do!
“We look back at our own wedding and our photographer and videographer, and we really appreciate them. They did a great job, and we’re always looking back to our pictures and our wedding video, and we want to keep that same experience for couples. Give them something timeless that they can go back and look at because that’s what we always do.”
