Preserving Your Love in Blooms with Pressed Floral

One of the best parts of any wedding is the gorgeous flowers. Like your bouquet, you wish you could preserve all of the best moments from your wedding day and enjoy them forever. Sarah Ebert from Pressed Floral has done exactly that; preserving your wedding day blooms in a stunning recreation that you’ll be able to keep with you to remember all the sweetest memories from the day you say, “I do.”

The process of sending your blooms to Pressed Floral for wedding floral preservation has never been easier, thanks to their brand-new Bloom Boxes. “We have an opportunity for all of our brides to purchase a shipping box that pre-pays for your shipping and has all the materials needed and everything. So if our clients are thinking about us in advance, we have that available, so it has time to get to you.”

And when it comes to customizing your Pressed Floral frame, the options are endless, and incredibly gorgeous every single time.

The Pressed Floral website is easy to use, starting with what size and color you want, and you can customize even more from there. “We have glass options that you can choose from, and linen backing options. What we’re known for is glass on glass.”

“We really want our clients to customize what they want. We put anything inside their frames that can fit. Vows, invitations, lace…we’ve done dog hair, which is so crazy. All these different things that are super sentimental to our clients. We want it to be a custom piece of art that they’re going to cherish forever and look at every day.”

Can she make some with a magazine in the frame? Asking for a friend.

Another amazing thing that Pressed Floral offers is its very own app. “All of our clients can log in and see the status of their blooms at any point in time. They can see what they look like upon arrival, they can see the status of their design.”

“And then once we design the piece, they get to see a photo and they can request any revisions that they would like, and we’ll do it over and over and over again. We will revise it unlimited times until it’s a piece of art that our clients love.”

The First Wedding Floral Preservation Vendor

Sarah started Pressed Floral when she was just 19 years old. She’s always had the heart of an entrepreneur and the eye of an artist. What started as a late-night idea in her dorm room has grown into a thriving business with a 65-person team and multiple locations across the country.

At the time, wedding floral preservation was non-existent; there simply wasn’t a way for brides to preserve their wedding flowers in the same way that Sarah does now.

“It was just this light bulb moment in my head. I instantly got on my phone. I researched on social media and on Google, to find out, ‘Does this exist? Do people do this? Is this an industry where brides do this with their bouquets?’”

And there wasn’t anything out there. Until Sarah joined the scene. “It’s so wild to me now because Pressed Floral has been around for five and a half years. And I believe Pressed Floral has built an industry out there, in wedding floral preservation, which I love. Brides all over the world have access to preserving their flowers, and all over this country.”

Talk about a trendsetter!

Trial and Error With Pressed Flowers

It took a lot of research and practice in the beginning, but we can say just by looking at her work now that it has definitely paid off. “I bought pressed flowers from a craft store that were pre-pressed and little, and I bought a frame, and I just glued flowers in a cute frame. I see photos of it now, and it was so not cute, but this idea bloomed into me saying, ‘Okay, let’s make it happen.’”

She spent the next few months learning how to properly press and preserve wedding flowers, borrowing flowers from her mother’s yard and centerpieces from friends’ weddings, to figure out the very best way to create her stunning pressed floral arrangements.

“It was a lot of trial and error. I ruined so many flowers. But I finally felt like I nailed it, and I was able to do a beautiful job on my sister’s wedding bouquet. I was able to frame it and preserve it, and I loved it. I thought it was so beautiful.”

And Pressed Floral was born! It kicked off and spread like wildflowers, growing into the incredible business it is today. And it still continues to grow. From a backyard shed to a brick-and-mortar building right here in Orem, Utah (and another brand-new one in Atlanta, Georgia), Pressed Floral has taken the wedding floral preservation world by the roots.

“And I still just absolutely love our product.”

Expanding to the East

But why Georgia? Other than Atlanta being another Delta Air Lines hub like we have right here in Salt Lake City, many of Pressed Floral’s clients are actually from the East Coast. “We would have clients shipping their blooms from New York City, and it would cost 800 dollars to get to us, which was wild.”

“We really wanted to be able to get to a place that was closer to our clients in the East so that they didn’t have to ship as far, and also for us to have the opportunity of growing a community in a new state.”

Great news for all you East Coast brides!

A Love For Wedding Floral Preservation

Sarah cares more than anything about making sure you love your pressed florals as much as she does. “Our product is so beautiful, I could look at frames all day long. They’re all unique. Not one is going to be the exact same because everybody’s arrangement is different.”

But her favorite part, beyond how gorgeous each frame turns out, is the sentimental part of each project. “The clients and the story behind the products are my favorite thing.”

One bride shared a story with Sarah about how her flowers reminded her of a recently passed loved one. “She told us, ‘I lost my aunt a couple of weeks before my wedding day, and I was very close with her. She was like a second mom to me. The day before my wedding, I prayed to her that she would be there at my wedding and that I would know that she was there and she would leave me a sign.’ And then the first thing that came into her head was ‘pink dragon.’”

The bride knew to look for something related to ‘pink dragon,’ and she would know her aunt was with her on her wedding day.

“And then she went on to PressedFloral.com to preserve her wedding flowers. As she was scrolling through our product photos, we had these before-and-after photos that showed what a certain type of flower looks like fresh versus pressed. And sure enough, we had one called pink snapdragon.”

And that bride realized that she had pink snapdragons in her own wedding bouquet.

“She said, ‘It’s so amazing because my aunt was there with me and she did leave me that sign, and you guys were able to help me find that. And now I can’t wait to preserve these flowers forever.’”

More Than Just Flowers

For Sarah, she knows that your wedding floral preservation is more than just flowers. They represent something special and deeper for each couple. “Our product is beautiful, but it’s the stories behind the flowers that make it meaningful.” When you preserve your wedding bouquet, you’re not just keeping flowers, you’re keeping a piece of your day, a piece of your love story to hold onto forever.

Sarah’s advice for couples who are planning a wedding is to make time to sit down with your new spouse and record voice memos of your feelings and memories of the day. “After whatever events that you have, get together when you’re sitting in the car or you’re getting ready, after the day, or whatever it is, voice memo everything you remember. What you felt like, which people were there, something special that happened. Because you plan for it for so long, and then your event happens, and then you forget so much about it later on.”

Not only is Sarah the expert in making sure you preserve your own memories from your wedding day, but she will help you have a literal keepsake of your best wedding day moments in the form of pressed flowers.

Pressed Floral transforms your wedding flowers into meaningful art, preserving the love and memories from your most special day. For couples looking to keep a piece of their wedding day with them, Pressed Floral offers a reminder that love, like flowers, deserves to be cherished and beautifully preserved forever.
