Savanah + Nathan

Date
Oct, 07, 2019

It’s Magazine Monday! And we’re excited to share a closer look at the wedding of Savanah and Nathan — straight from our glossy pages.

Nathan and I were set up on a blind date. I thought he was cute, fun and smart. We started dating, and one of my favorite dates was when we went country dancing. Nathan loves to dance, but dancing is NOT my thing. I was so nervous, but he made me feel so comfortable that I actually danced!

One of our first official dates as a couple was to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert. Two years later, after some off-and-on dating, he took me to the concert again. Before, he took me to the steps of the Utah State Capitol Building and popped the question with a darling vintage pearl ring. Later, we picked out a diamond engagement ring, but it was so special to me that he proposed with the vintage ring. I fell in love with it at Heirloom Art & Co. when I worked there.

My mom was a huge part of my wedding planning. I told her my vision and she ran with it. We chose the White Shanty in Provo as our venue and I loved how cozy it felt and how light it was.

My dress from Pritchétt Bridal has this cool lace that actually looks like beading. I loved it because it has the glam of beads but the comfort of lace.

For my flowers, my mom recruited two of her best friends from high school, and they did an amazing job. They incorporated fruits like oranges, red pears, and kumquats into all the florals. I loved the way we covered everything with flowers and greenery — even the venue’s chandelier.

I loved working with my photographer Alyssia Baird. She was amazing and made Nathan and me feel so comfortable.

I am from Alpine and Nathan is from Huntington Beach; one of my favorite parts of the day was the reception because it was amazing to see all the people who came out to support us. I felt so loved.

PICTURE PERFECT Savanah took every opportunity to infuse her wedding day with lush greenery and bursts of brilliant color. From the ribbons on the bridesmaid bouquets to the cute and colorful couches to the hoops, chandelier, and LOVE sign, every detail was darling and divine. The couple’s first dance was “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke, while Oteo gave guests something to taco-bout.
