It’s Magazine Monday! And today we have a closer look at the unforgettable wedding of Jordyn and Kenneth — straight from our glossy pages — who were married July 27, 2019.
LOVE + BASKETBALL
Jordyn Middleton and Kenneth Ogbe met on a sorority date night at the University of Utah. He was impressed with her taste in music, and a flirtatious friendship began.
After a year of late-night drives and late-night chats, they became officially smitten.
Jordyn and Kenneth’s proposal happened in Germany, where Kenneth is from and is currently playing professional basketball. After visiting a charming botanical garden, Kenneth pulled over to show Jordyn the Victory Column landmark in Berlin.
“He ran up to the column, and when I finally caught up, he was on one knee ready to propose!” Jordyn says.
La Caille was the perfect setting for their sun-soaked soirée, and Kenneth’s former Utah Valley University basketball coach Mark Pope was the perfect person to marry them.
The entire wedding was filled with thoughtful details that represented their history and future. From the globe guest book, to the German and American flags at the send-off — it was a beautiful blend of cultures and a celebration of loved ones near and far.
Picture This Mother Nature gave Kenneth and Jordyn a wedding present: Perfectly-timed cloud clover that came right as the ceremony started! (Plus, the cute fans kept things breezy!) Clouds or no clouds, La Caille was a fairy tale venue. “The wow factor never gets old!” Jordyn says. Their photographer, Cassandra Farley, perfectly captured every detail and emotional moment. “My family is a huge part of my life, and I can’t imagine any part of my wedding day without them,” Jordyn says
