Incorporating Cultural Aspects Into Your Wedding: Polynesian Dances and a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

Happy Magazine Monday! Utah is a place where people from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures gather to celebrate, whether you’ve lived here all your life or chose it for your destination wedding. Here are some of our favorite ways we’ve seen couples and their families celebrate their cultures and traditions on their wedding day!

Cultural Dances

Haley and Izzy celebrated at their reception with the most amazing cultural dances! This bride not only looked incredible, but also set the standard with her beautiful dancing.

Including Your Guests

Whether they’re familiar with your cultural traditions or not, inviting your guests to party with you by wearing your traditional clothing or dancing with you like Haley and Izzy’s families is the best way to celebrate!

Incorporating Other Traditions

These two also incorporated other traditional moments and details into their wedding, like the money dance and their florals!

Cultural Ceremonies

Ryan and Trinh got married during the COVID-19 pandemic; years later, they held a beautiful wedding that honored both their families with a Chinese-Vietnamese ceremony, attended by guests from all over the world.

Decor

What better way to celebrate your heritage than with the details that make it so beautiful? Ryan and Trinh’s traditional tea ceremony and decor were more than just lovely; it was an unforgettable moment for everyone to be a part of.

What You Wear

Whether it’s a white gown or a colorful traditional Ao Dai, what you wear at your wedding will always hold a special place in your heart, no matter the celebration!
