JENNA HALE + TREVOR SONDRUP | 5.31.23

It was friends at first sight, but it turned into something more. Trevor Sondrup went to Timpanogos High School and Jenna Hale went to Orem. The two became friends, but romance didn’t catch a full spark until after their missions (even though Jenna was crushing on him during high school). “We started hanging out a week after he’d been home from his mission, and we’ve been inseparable ever since,” Jenna says.
For their first date, she drove down to visit Trevor at Snow College, and the two started a campfire up the canyon and country swing danced in the moonlight – straight out of a Morgan Wallen song.
“We had a connection I hadn’t had before,” Trevor says. “It came very natural.” Jenna had already designed her dream ring in the past with a family member who owned a jewelry business, so Trevor cooked up a perfect surprise proposal.
In February while on a family trip, Trevor planned to take Jenna on a romantic beach picnic the last day. The only spectators were surfers on the waves.
“I set up my phone and said ‘Hey, let’s take some pics,’ but I started recording and proposed right there on the beach,” Trevor says.
The deal was sealed with a beautiful ceremony in the Draper Utah Temple, with sunny wedding weather on a day when the clouds had promised to rain.
Dancing was their favorite part of the evening’s celebration.
“We had DJ Ricky Barrera and he was just killer. It was so fun,” Jenna says. “! think one of my favorite parts was the dance that I choreographed for Trevor.”
In a sassy white dress and with her bridesmaids as back-up dancers in their matching black fits, the girls got down to a 3-song mashup that got the whole crowd (and especially Trevor) smiling ear to ear.
The night of nights ended with a dazzling sparkler send-off, and chapter two of their love story began.
“We have buckets of everything we need to put our time and energy into in life,” Jenna says. “To me, love looks like putting all your energy into your loved one’s bucket first, and everything else will fall into place.”
Just like Jenna and Trevor fell into place with each other.
