It’s Magazine Monday — on a Tuesday! (Summer, amiright?) And today we have a closer look at the rad and roaring nuptials of Danielle and Zach from our 2022 glossy pages.
EYE OF THE TIGER
Danielle Poole and Zach Wallace met on a frigid January night at a local Kansas City bar. Zach fell for Danielle’s smile and Danielle was drawn to his wit. “In addition to thinking he was so fine, of course,” Danielle says. They became inseparable from that night forward.
When it came time for the proposal, Zach planned to pop the question at the top of a dreamy lighthouse in St. Augustine, Florida. “He couldn’t wait until the top of the lighthouse to ask,” Danielle says. “So he actually asked me right at the base before the climb. We were so giddy afterward that we ran up the 300+ stairs without noticing the effort.” The icing on the cake was when 40 of the couple’s closet friends showed up at the resort to celebrate the engagement.
Danielle, who grew up in Texas, and Zach, who grew up in Missouri, opted for a destination wedding in Utah because Danielle had been visiting Park City with her family for years. River Bottoms Ranch was the perfect place to showcase the state’s natural beauty for the couple’s 160 out-of-town wedding guests. “Our guests have not stopped talking about it!” Danielle says.
We can’t blame them — the vibrant florals, the epic views, the impeccable food, the gorgeous fashion, and the tiger theme. A roaring good time.
Zach and Danielle’s alma maters (University of Missouri and Auburn University) both had a tiger mascot — and they incorporated that school pride into their wedding details in the form of tiger cufflinks, wedding party pajamas, and the illustration on their paper suite. Danielle’s favorite decor element was the incredible floral arch from The Potted Pansy. “Our jaws dropped when we saw it for the first time,” Danielle says. And the floral accents on the chandeliers?
