Celebrate TS12 and Taylor Swift’s Engagement with this TTPD-Inspired Wedding Styled Shoot

This Bonneville Salt Flats elopement styled shoot was directly inspired by the TTPD dress from the Eras Tour… Okay, no it’s not, but you should see your faces.

In honor of being one month away from TS12, and in celebration of Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce, we thought we’d share a little old TTPD-inspired wedding styled shoot that perfectly captures the tortured romance of her last album. It’s no secret that we’re big Swifties at team UVB; and if you’re looking for an excuse to have a Taylor Swift-inspired wedding without being too on-the-nose, take a look at these photos for proof that you actually can include easter eggs in your wedding details, and it will turn out gorgeous.

But Daddy, We Love This TTPD Wedding Gown

But if we are being for real, her wedding gown silhouette is really giving a little bit of “running with my dress unbuttoned,” as if these two lovers are running away together to elope despite all their friends and fathers’ best judgments. We’re just waiting for the groom to say he talked to her dad, go pick out a white dress, baby just say yes, etc.

The high slit on this stunning wedding dress, combined with those perfect Clara bows, feels like we could see a very specific word written on this bride’s upper thigh, if there were to happen to be one there. Midwest Gowns has us so down bad, crying in the gym.

And who better to perfectly capture this tortured poet’s bridal whimsy than Adam Cadena Photo? The sunset shots through her veil, the lift and twirl that always has us swooning; no one’s ever had us so tortured, not like Adam!

Who’s Afraid of A Little Old Bride

The Flowers By Mandy bouquet and dahlia boutonniere combo is enough to make anyone crash a party like a record scratch… But we can confidently say we’re not afraid of a little old show-stopper like this one. And these blooms are all locally grown. It’s giving your wife waters flowers…

Macy and David are the perfect couple to represent this fantastic runaway elopement; it’s like they escaped the slammer in Florida just to say I do in the most jaw-dropping place they could find. These photos are proof that love like this only happens every few lifetimes. Honestly, who are we to fight this alchemy?

Taylor Swift actually wrote all of The Tortured Poets Department about this elopement. No she didn’t, but OMG… you should still see your faces. Let’s be real, we’re all a little bit afraid of how gorgeous this shoot really was. And to top it all off, it was perfectly captured by Social Brides Co, proving that it’s always a good idea to beat the heat with a great wedding content creator.

Taylor Swift’s Engagement is Inspiring Tortured Poets Everywhere

So what do you think? Is this bride and groom fresh out the slammer, getting all the Sarahs and Hannahs to convene at city hall? Just tell us if you disagree; we’re real tough kids, we can handle it. It’s giving your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married…

Either way, there’s no telling what we’ll do after October 3rd. And don’t even ask us what we did when we heard about Taylor Swift’s engagement. We’ll probably find an excuse to plan a wedding with a suspiciously showgirl-like theme, you know, unrelated. Or we’ll just keep coming back to this shoot again and again. It’s so high school.

Here’s your sign to plan your wedding with a secret Taylor Swift theme, and the real ones will know. Or just fully embrace the bejewelled joy of going full throttle with your 13 bridesmaids and red lipstick. As long as the groom knows how to ball, and you know Aristotle.
