Berklee + Jameson

Date
May, 10, 2021

It’s Magazine Monday! And today we have a closer look at the romantic wedding of Berklee and Jameson from our 2021 glossy pages. Happy scrolling!

MEET CUTE We have mutual friends who had been trying to set us up for a long time. After our first date, I wondered why I waited so long! I loved his amazing smile and he loved my eyes. PERFECT PROPOSAL Jameson arranged for me to meet him for dinner. As we were walking to the door, his nephew popped out of the bushes and gave me a rose. Then I saw both of our families standing along a path. Each person gave me a rose with a note telling me reasons Jameson loved me. At the end of the path, Jameson gave me a “final rose” and asked me to marry him. Best day ever. PANDEMIC PLANNING We had our wedding ceremony in April and then a wedding dinner, reception, and LDS temple ceremony in September. I loved that River Bottoms Ranch had a lot of space so we could be socially distanced inside and outside. We were one of the first weddings that used the pavilion, which was perfect for dancing. SIGNATURE SIGNAGE We had fun planning our event signage. We matched them to our invitations and they looked incredible. We also had fun facts printed on rose gold mirrors at every table. DREAM DRESS I wanted a simple and elegant dress. I loved the mesh silhouette with small floral beads. I danced so hard at our reception that I ripped the whole backside of the dress — but I continued to dance the night away!

The distinctive design of Berklee’s Pritchétt Bridal gown inspired another wedding element: her cake. “We designed it to mimic my dress,” Berklee says,“and the sugar flowers even matched my bouquet!” One of the most tender moments of the day was when Berklee, a former University of Utah cheerleader, and her dad did a dance to the U of U fight song. “My dad had a sticky note with the actions and counts we had been practicing for weeks,” Berklee says. “He was still reviewing them during the wedding dinner and was so nervous.” From the cake to the cheers, Katie Griff Photo captured it all with charm.
