October 1, 2015 // Callie + Cade

Anyone who has been in the dating scene knows that set-ups can be a gamble — but it was one pretty pay-off for Callie Christiansen and Cade Miller. While Callie and Cade attended the same high school, they didn’t get to know each other until they were both living in Provo at King Henry apartments. After friends suggested they go out, they hit it off on a first date at ComedySportz. That first date led to nine months of dating, and eventually, a picnic proposal in Farmington Canyon. “Best day ever!” she says. Callie started the wedding planning by choosing a photographer, India Earl, to memorialize every marry moment. Next up was the gown, and she found her dream frock after trying on only two dresses at Avenia Bridal. All those to-do’s led up to the big “I do.” Callie’s favorite moment of the day was being sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The ceremony was followed by a rustic ranch reception later that evening, complete with a tandem bike exit. Wheels up, Millers!

GET THE PICTURE Callie’s wedding vision was simple and understated. With a beautiful red barn as her backdrop, she chose a color palette of peach, cream, gold and navy that was brought to life with plentiful petals. A giant LOVE sign had her guests feeling the love as they filled up on a cookies and milk bar. Callie and Cade’s carrot wedding cake had an unexpected topper — crepes piled high. Hooray, indeed!
